Brian has provided Enterprise Architecture services over a long period of time, including the following recent engagements:

WorkSafe New Zealand

Brian is engaged to provide Enterprise Architectural oversight to the entire process of developing and deploying the SafePlus application.  This includes achieving the Certification and Accreditation of the tool to ensure the privacy of all information held in the tool.

Accident Compensation Corporation

Brian joined the Enterprise Architecture practice at ACC for a period of three months to fill a vacancy while the organisation recruited a permanent employee.  During this time he was assigned to the Talent, Governance and Strategy, Finance and Investment portfolios.  His roles included participating as a senior member of the Architecture Review Board – considering all proposals that would have a major impact on the organisations IT systems.

The Earthquake Commission (EQC)

Brian was the Enterprise Architect at EQC for a period of three years – once again providing broad architectural oversight and governance to all aspects of the organisations information technology systems.  These responsibilities included:

  • Modelling the business and key information systems using the ABACUS Enterprise Architecture modelling tool
  • Planning for the replacement of the core claims management system
  • The replacement of the financial management information system
  • Oversight of the migration of key infrastructure to cloud based services
  • Oversight of the enhancement to Minerva – the earthquake impact estimation tool

 

Healthcare of NZ Holdings Ltd

Healthcare of NZ Holdings were embarking on an ambitious programme to consolidate a large number of core customer relationship management systems.  Brian was engaged to document the solution architecture showing the initial state, the interim states, the target state, and a potential future state – showing the complete path for the organisation from where they were to where they wanted to be.
