I’m Brian, a dance, performance, portrait, event, and travel photographer

I pick up my camera to capture the moments of magic

I love to photograph things that inspire me, and I'm rarely without a camera of some sort with me.

I'm a dancer, and I firmly believe that understanding music and movement helps make me a great dance photographer - as the music tells me when to take the photo.

I've firmly embraced the occasional invitation to do something a bit different - shooting a fashion show, documenting a fundraising event, or just turning up with my camera to see what I can capture.

Fact 1

I'm a Wellingtonian born & bred. I spent my working career as an Information Security Consultant, but I now enjoy nurturing the creative side of my personality.

Fact 2

I became a dance addict in the mid 90's, and I've spent the last 8 years as one of the owners and directors of Wellington's iDance Modern Jive community.

Fact 3

Dance became one of my favourite photography subjects. I firmly believe that you need to be a dancer to be a good dance photographer, as the music tells you when to take the photo.
